With over thirty years’ experience in the construction industry, the team at Siri offer fully bespoke, highest quality garden rooms of every type imaginable. We are a modest-sized business and we like it that way. It means we can provide a highly personal service, liaising with and listening to clients, creating the most beautiful garden rooms efficiently and effectively in the minimum time. Building your garden room is a journey that should be stress free, without fuss. With Siri your journey will be as pleasurable and exciting as the finished product.
There are many popular uses for garden rooms. Whether you’re contemplating a gym, office, art studio, music room, summer house, man cave, beauty room, games room, teenager’s hangout, you name it, we will have built it. A fully Custom and Bespoke Garden Room. Experience, knowledge, and great builds aside, we limit ourselves to two or three garden rooms a month, depending on size and complexity. This is how we stay close to client projects, listening and reacting to client needs, addressing any concerns, and delivering outstanding attention to detail. We are not prescriptive, limiting your choices to pre-fabricated, off-the-shelf shapes and sizes. Often, gardens aren’t configured in helpful rectangles or squares. They need bespoke designs that accommodate fence lines or spaces for practical as well as aesthetic reasons. Perhaps you have a shed or garage to work around, permanent garden features you are proud of, mature trees you wish to keep. With bespoke, made-to-measure solutions, such factors present no problems for Siri. Our set up makes us adaptable and flexible. We’ll be on hand every step of the way, be that via your allocated site supervisor, or Richard, our Client Liaison Officer.
It starts with a no obligation visit. Richard, our Client Liaison Officer, will show you a variety of super designs to whet your appetite. Of course, you’ll know what kind of garden room you want, but the questions we’ll ask will have you thinking about things you may not have considered. You’ll find this exciting, because your creative juices will start to flow! Might you want a pergola to complete your garden design? If you’re big on entertaining, perhaps some decking and external power for a BBQ area? For creative types, what about a skylight for natural light?
We pride ourselves on the small yet important details. For example, for a home gym, we’ll incorporate floor sockets for your equipment.
Because we offer bespoke solutions, you are free to vary your style, materials, colours and finishes. And the sky’s the limit when it comes to incorporating unique, signature elements in your design.
With our site survey completed and your requirements logged, Richard will return with your quotation.
Naturally, the build time will depend on your requirements, but typically, we complete a garden room in two to three weeks. We’ll schedule your project with a start date, and just as importantly, a finish date. You’ll be able to get on with life, confident about what’s happening and when. With Siri, your project won’t crawl to completion with unnecessary inconvenience. With Siri, you won’t wonder where your build team have disappeared to and when they’ll be back. With Siri, you won’t see new faces on the team and worry about continuity issues.
We are fully conversant on matters such as build allowances and building regulations. Most garden rooms do not require planning permission since they are classed as permitted developments. If necessary, we will advise regarding building and planning requirements.
Once you accept your quote, we’ll order materials, and require a deposit of 35%. A further 35% becomes due at the end of the first week of the build, with the final 30% on completion.
Ours is a truly turn key solution. Once we complete the plastering and interior painting, you can start enjoying your garden room on the very day we leave the site.
With Siri quality is paramount, which is why a great many features are included as standard:
There was a time when the construction of outbuildings defaulted to the digging of footings and the laying of cement bases. Siri team members are familiar with such work for general construction projects and if instructed, will lay a concrete foundation. However, be aware that cement bases are not good for drainage and when a garden room gets warm, can draw moisture up from the ground, leading to damp or dry rot problems. Further, unless we are obliged to level the ground, we prefer not to dig, since removing soil and the organic life within it is best avoided for the health of the wider garden.
We prefer to secure and support our garden rooms using ground screws. Huge, with sizes ranging from 1m to 2m, the screws are drilled into the substrate of earth and rock. An air gap at ground level creates vital airflow for the building and, together with a special membrane, prevents rising damp and rot. With each screw depending on size taking up to 1000kg in weight, the technology has a proven track record and comes with a 25 year guarantee. Across Europe, even domestic houses are sometimes built using this technology.
A Carport for your electric vehicle? Take up may be slow to date, but we think it inevitable that drivers will increasingly switch away from petrol. With EV’s tending to be wider vehicles, many garages will not be large enough to accommodate them. To solve this problem, Siri creates bespoke carports to prepare you and your car for the future. Our carports come with automatic sensor lighting as you drive in and are compatible with EV chargers. Siri carports offer more than form and function. In keeping with our garden room values, they are aesthetically pleasing, particularly important when parking at front-of-house.
Many clients prefer to finance their builds by way of a re-mortgage. Siri has partnered with Sibley Property Finance Ltd as our recommended affiliate for mortgage advice.
